A hoard of coins or money containing half a kilo of Roman coins was buried and hidden shortly before the year 326 in the Constantine era as an emergency. This was discovered in a dry stone wall by two builders while digging the foundations of the Eurotel on the Seiser Alm plateau. Just nine coins remain out of the original coin hoard; the rest are lost.
