
Axe, pick, knife and hoe made of iron
Tools from remarkable complex of finds at Col de Flam
In 1848, a number of trinkets, iron weapons and work tools were laid down in ritual fashion at the Iron Age cult and burial site at Col de Flam. Tools included axes, picks, knives and a few woodworking tools, such as a gouge. One iron pick has an inscription on its handle.
