In 1848, a number of trinkets, iron weapons and work tools were laid down in ritual fashion at the Iron Age cult and burial site at Col de Flam. Tools included axes, picks, knives and a few woodworking tools, such as a gouge. One iron pick has an inscription on its handle. 

In 1848, during the ploughing of a field under the Col de Flam, a rich collection of iron weapons and tools, as well as iron and bronze brooches and jewellery, was uncovered. The finds, dating from the 6th to the 2nd century BC, partly come from cremation graves and are partly associated with a burnt offering site.

The central metal component (boss) of a wooden shield from the late Iron Age (6th–2nd century BC) was found at Col de Flam. It served to protect the fist of the person holding the shield. It is an example of Celtic blacksmithing and either indicates the presence of Celtic warriors, probably mercenaries, or local copying of Gallic weapons. The wooden part of the shield has not been preserved. 

This small, rounded clay vessel was excavated on Picberg along with a handful of calcined bone remnants from animal sacrifices (cow, sheep). This find was probably in connection with a depositing ritual after a sacrificial ceremony carried out on a mountain top. The discovery site and altitude point towards an Iron Age fire sacrifice site. 

Fragments of several pitchers made of so-called 'Melaun ceramic' from the late Bronze Age were discovered at Lech Sant at Mastlé (Aschgleralm). These jugs feature girlands and small vertical borders going down the sides. They were principally used for religious rituals at cult sites or cremations as vessels for pouring special liquids. 

This revolving millstone was found during excavation work for a private house in Ortisei and dates back to the early Iron Age. This type of millstone follows on from the earlier hopper and lever type and therefore has the same function as the typical Mediterranean millstone. However, it has side grooves for inserting wooden levers, which made turning the stones a lot easier. 

This typical Mediterranean millstone made from local porphyry dates back to pre-Roman times and was found in various pieces at Col de Flam. Small quantities of grain (barley, oats) were shaken through the hole and milled when coming into contact with a flat, fixed lower stone. The upper stone was turned with a wooden handle, while the lower stone has not been preserved. 

This simple nail has U-shaped bends in three places and has one rolled-up and one sharp end. This is evidence that fishing took place in Grödner Bach stream (Ladin: Derjon) during the prehistoric period. The bronze hook was excavated together with other bronze utensils (clasps, nails, button, ring) in an Iron Age dwelling from the 4th to the 2nd century B.C. at Col de Flam. 

These two grindstones made of volcanic stone from Col de Flam excavation site were used for milling grain. Grindstones were pushed back and forth across a fixed grinding stone. This spherical grindstone exploded after being heated to a high temperature. This is a sign that a large blaze took place in the house that it was kept in. 

A large, shallow, pan-like bowl with two side handles was unearthed during excavation of a floor in a Rhaetian dwelling south of Col de Flam historical farm side. The excavation work was carried out druing the extension of the from from St. Ulrich to St. Jakob and provided the first certain proof of an Iron Age settlement at Col de Flam.
