The chair comes from Fischburg castle, with three ornate patterns and rocaille ornaments framing a carved ex-voto adorning the chair back. This shows a man falling, above him a holy figure - probably Mary - and the divine eye. A word is carved next to the scene that could be 'pregato', indicating an ex-voto.

Records from 1517 mention a new construction that was extended in 1678. The church was newly built in 1872 after plans by Cyprian Pescosta, the priest in Pufels at the time. The features come from altar builders from Gadertal valley and sculptors from St. Ulrich. In 1988, the nave was replaced with a new, larger construction. The old tower was kept in place.
